Судьба оппозиционного интеллектуала: афинянин Антифонт – оратор, софист, правовед, политик

Суриков Игорь Евгеньевич

В статье рассматривается ряд проблем, связанных с личностью и деятельностью Антифонта, находящегося в незаслуженном забвении крупного представителя афинской культурной и политической жизни второй половины V в. до н.э. Какова была его роль в развитии древнегреческой философии, риторики, юриспруденции? Существовал ли один Антифонт или два («Антифонт-оратор» и «Антифонт-софист»)? Какова была политическая позиция Антифонта (напомним, одного из организаторов антидемократического переворота 411 г. до н.э.) и как она эволюционировала? Посильные ответы на поставленные вопросы даются в этой статье.
