Спалы Иордана и палы Плиния Старшего

В статье рассматриваются недавние попытки анализа нескольких гидронимов Се верного Причерноморья как лингвистически кельтских по происхождению. Показано, что зафиксированные в работах авторов античности речные названия Axiaces и Rhode не могут быть рассмотрены как галльские по целому ряду причин. Также поднимается вопрос о кельтской топонимии ареала в целом, в том числе и с точки методологии анализа, и затрагивается тема так называемого «иллирийского» и фракийского вклада в топонимический ландшафт региона
