Строительная надпись из Танаиса: еще раз к вопросу о еврейской общине в Танаисе

Статья содержит публикацию строительной надписи из Танаиса, фрагменты которой были обнаружены главным образом при раскопках на агоре в 1993 г. in situ. Надпись относится к концу правления Савромата II (скорее всего первое десятилетие III в. н.э.) и сообщает о восстановлении портика на средства царского пресбевта, имя которого не сохранилось. Строительные работы организовали эллинарх Басилид, сын Теоника, и другое должностное лицо, от имени которого сохранился только патроним – «сын Самуила». Надпись увеличивает число известных жителей Танаиса, носивших еврейские имена, и дополнительно подтверждает существование в городе еврейской общины. Одно из сооружений, открытых на агоре (постройка 6), возможно, было миквой, использовавшейся ее членами.
