ТО ΚΟΙΝΟΝ ΤΩΝ ΠΟΝΤΟΥ ΠΟΛΙΩΝ в южном Причерноморье

В статье уделяется внимание созданию и функционированию союза греческих городов на южном побережье Черного моря, исследуются его связи с Северным и Западным Причерноморьем, разбираются причины превращения Амастрии, Гераклеи Понтийской, Амасии и Неоцезареи в столицы–метрополии союза городов Понта. Этот союз сложился в провинции Вифиния–Понт при Августе; при Флавиях и в ранние годы принципата Траяна он находился в подчинении у администрации провинции Вифиния–Понт. Затем союз понтийских полисов, метрополией которого стала Гераклея, получил больше самостоятельности и при Адриане превратился в номинально независимое образование. После создания эпархии Pontus Mediterraneus и слияния провинций Галатия и Каппадокия, койнон Понта при Антонинах представлял собой союз полисов понтийской эпархии Вифинии–Понта, Галатского/Каппадокийского Понта со столицами Неоцезарея и Амасия. При Северах единый прежде союз был разделен на объединения городов Галатского Понта во главе с Амасией, куда вошли прибрежные полисы понтийской эпархии провинции Вифиния–Понт, и на союз городов эпархии Понта Полемонидов со столицей в Неоцезарее. После создания новой провинции Понт в 230 г. н.э. сформировался койнон полисов Полемонова Понта во главе с Неоцезареей, в который вошли города бывшего Галатского Понта вместе с полисами прибрежной части понтийской эпархии провинции Вифиния–Понт. Неоцезарея иногда делила столичные функции с Гераклеей Понтийской. Союз городов Понта являлся внеадминистративным объединением городов разных эпархий и провинций, которые были известны как «Понтийские» и включали области бывшего царства Понт. Койнон просуществовал до конца третьей четверти III в. н.э.
