Женитьба Октавиана на Ливии: выгоды или риски?

В статье отстаивается точка зрения, что брак с Ливией имел для Октавиана лишь негативные политические последствия. Разведясь со Скрибонией, он слишком рано обнаружил враждебные намерения по отношению к Сексту Помпею и не успел подготовиться к новой войне, что привело к его поражению в 38 г. до н. э. Скандал, сопровождавший брак Октавиана с Ливией, должен был скорее оттолкнуть консервативную аристократию, чем привлечь ее, и дал богатый материал для враждебной пропаганды.
