Erotica. К проблеме происхождения и бытования так называемых фаллических терракот в греко-римском Египте (на материале собрания ГМИИ им. А.С. Пушкина)

В статье публикуются 12 предметов терракотовой пластики (большинство – впервые), относящихся к так называемым «эротическим/фаллическим/обсценным изображениям»: гротескные фигурки участников фаллических процессий и пигмеев, фрагменты рельефных сосудов с любовными сценами, отдельные изображения фаллосов, две уникальные плакетки с изображением симплегмы. Тематически и функционально к указанным предметам примыкают глиняные светильники, изображающие мужчин с огромным фаллосом, а также фаянсовые и известняковые «фаллические» статуэтки, относящиеся к Позднему и Греко-римскому периодам (в том числе так называемые Naukratic figures). Исследование показывает, что фаллические статуэтки Птолемеевского периода восходят к египетской традиции и были распространены в разных областях Египта. В рамках данной статьи сделан один из первых шагов на пути научного изучения в отечественной историографии подобных изображений как специфического пласта древнеегипетской культуры. Авторы попытались определить первоначальный контекст и назначение данных памятников, представляющих собой вотивные приношения либо предметы, находившиеся в домах и служившие в качестве оберегов от дурного глаза и, вероятно, амулетов для обеспечения мужской потенции и женской фертильности.
