Амфитей в «Ахарнянах» Аристофана

В статье разобрана сценка из пролога «Ахарнян» Аристофана, в которой участвует персонаж Амфитей. Существующие представления об этом персонаже (как о шарже на реального современника Аристофана или же как о важном участнике действия, действительно стремящемся к заключению мира) оказываются неубедительными. Предложена новая интерпретация, объясняющая сцену как сатиру на обыкновение обманом, под видом участия в посольствах, добывать деньги.
