Скифский поход Дария I и древнеперсидская надпись из Фанагории

В статье предлагается новая трактовка фрагмента древнеперсидской надписи, обнаруженной при раскопках Фанагории в 2016 г. Издатели документа В.Д. Кузнецов и А.Б. Никитин посчитали его автором Ксеркса, а появление камня в Фанагории связали с гипотетическим походом этого царя против греческих полисов Боспора Киммерийского, будто бы осуществленным накануне вторжения в Балканскую Грецию. Между тем, остатки текста в стк. 1 и 2 надписи позволяют с гораздо большими основаниями атрибутировать надпись Дарию I и отнести ее изготовление к событиям его похода против скифов (ок. 513–512 г. до н.э.). Сообщения Геродота (IV. 87), Ктесия Книдского (FGrHist 688 F 13. 21) и Дионисия Византийского (52) единодушно свидетельствуют о воздвижении по приказу Дария перед началом кампании в непосредственной близости от моста через Боспор Фракийский ряда монументальных сооружений, в том числе стелы с клинописным текстом. При слухах о поражении царя в Европе жители Византия и Калхедона разрушили эти памятники, и фрагмент надписи Дария мог быть доставлен в Фанагорию кем-то из жителей в качестве своеобразного трофея, поскольку этот полис был основан теми гражданами малоазийского Теоса, которые бежали от угрозы порабощения персами в 546 г. до н.э. (Hdt. I. 168; Strab. XIV. 1. 30) и имели основания ненавидеть Великого царя даже десятилетия спустя. Отнюдь не исключено, впрочем, и появление этого камня на Боспоре Киммерийском в качестве привезенного на корабле балласта.1
