Элогий из Поллы: пастухи и земледельцы на ager publicus во II в. до н.э

Данная статья посвящена анализу элогия из Поллы – надписи, сообщающей о деятельности неизвестного римского магистрата. Проанализировав существующие интерпретации, автор приходит к выводу, что упомянутый в ней ager publicus мог быть землей, конфискованной римлянами после окончания Второй Пунической войны у предавших их союзников. К первой половине II в. до н.э. может быть отнесено и сооружение дороги Капуя–Регий, которая должна была обеспечить связь Рима с недавно выведенной колонией Вибоном Валенцией и в целом бóльший контроль над этим регионом. Конфликт земледельцев и пастухов мог быть конфликтом между римскими поселенцами и местным населением, для которого, ввиду особенностей данной местности, отгонное скотоводство было традиционным занятием.
