Галльская чеканка Марка Агриппы 38 г. до н.э.

В статье рассматривается золотая и серебряная чеканка Агриппы во время его наместничества в Галлии в 38 г. до н.э. В этой чеканке важное место занимает Цезарь и особо подчеркнута его связь с Октавианом. Титулатура Октавиана демонстрирует процесс постепенного превращения титула «император» в его личное имя. Реверс, посвященный Агриппе, очень скромен, что подчеркивает содержание аверса. Данный монетный выпуск адресован солдатам, служившим в Галлии, где складывалась опасная обстановка. Кроме того, он служит противовесом чеканке Секста Помпея с прославлением его отца.
