Суд над весталками в 73 г. до н.э.: политический аспект

В статье рассматривается политическая составляющая суда над весталками Фа- бией и Лицинией, обвиненными в 73 г. до н.э. в нарушении обета целомудрия, и их предполагаемыми любовниками Катилиной и Крассом. Автор выдвигает гипотезу, что данный процесс был инициирован Помпеем для того, чтобы помешать Крассу, который в 73 г. занимал претуру, провести закон о восстановлении прав плебейских трибунов. Обвинение Фабии и Катилине было предъявлено для того, чтобы увели- чить опасность, которой подвергался Красс.
