The publication offers a Byzantine Greek translation of a neglected work by Cyril of Scythopolis, which survives only in Church Slavonic. The Praise was probably written under the Emperor Maurice (582–602) and dedicated to the joint celebration of the memory of both Saints at the Great Laura of St Sabas. The celebration was very soon discontinued (perhaps in 614), so its precise day remains unknown. The Slavonic text could have been a part of the corpus of Cyril’s writings, translated, at least partially, under the auspices of St Feodosij Pecherskij in Kiev in the 11th–12th centuries.
