The author tells the story of Jeanne and Louis Robert’s journey from Kibyratide to Lycia in 1948 and publishes relevant documents from Louis Robert’s archives, which are now kept in Paris and Princeton. These documents presented in the context of modern French studies of epigraphy and topography refl ect Louis Robert’s thoughts on the history of the region
